General Rules
250 Points
Armies must include one Troops choice from the appropriate army list.
No models allowed with more than one wound.
No vehicles or any models with an Armor Value are allowed.
No more than 25 points may be spent on wargear for characters or sergeants (this does not include weapon upgrades for a squad.)
No 2+ or better Saves.
Other than the one compulsory Troops choice, the points may be spent from anywhere in the appropriate Codex using the Standard Force Organization Chart. Prerequisite Rules must be followed, however (needing a Priest to field Arco-Flagellants in a Witch Hunters list, for example).
500 Points
Armies cannot exceed 500
points.
You must have at least one Troops choice.
You may have one HQ choice, but no more than one.
You can spend no more than 50 points on Wargear and/or Vehicle Upgrades.
No model can have more than 2 Wounds.
No Special Characters.
No 2+ or better saves.
No vehicles may have an armor value of greater than 33 (Front + Side + Rear).
You may spend your remaining points from anywhere in the Codex using the
Standard Force Organization Chart.
· Games played at the 500-point level will be played using the Combat Patrol Mission on page 183 of the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook.
750 - 2500 Points
The remainder of each 250-point block level will be constructed using the standard Warhammer 40,000 rules, and the Standard Force Organization Chart. There are no restrictions on Characters, Vehicles, etc, except as noted in the Warhammer 40K Codices (most Special Characters may only be fielded in an army of 1500 points or more, for example).
The 750 Point Game will be a Standard Mission at the Alpha level.
Games at 1000 and 1250 points will be Standard Missions at the Gamma level.
Games at 1500 and 1750 points will be Standard Missions at the Omega level.
Games at 2000 points and more will be determined randomly, as per the Warhammer 40,000 Mission Selection Rules.
Remember, only fully painted models are allowed. If there are insufficient painted models available to reach a specific point block deadline, the player plays only with painted models, and may therefore have a "short" army list. Get painting!
