I've decided to begin building an Inquisitorial retinue for a possible Daemonhunters army.  Inspired by the picture of "The Acolyte" on page 14 of the Daemonhunters Codex, an Interrogator apprentice for my (as yet unbuilt) Inquisitor was the first henchman I decided to build.

Searching for an appropriate body, I found that Dark Angels Chaplain Asmodai would be a great start.  The power sword arm was blissfully separate, so I only needed to saw through the left arm and shoulder pad, as well as remove the head using a jeweler's saw, which preserves the off-cut pieces for future use.  Next, as an Inquisitor's apprentice would most likely not have seen the use of Tactical Dreadnought Armor, the Crux Terminatus had to be removed, along with other little details like the skull belt buckle, and the large Dark Angels pendant hanging on his chest.  With a motor tool and a grinding bit, I made short work of these needless details, as well as the bulky backpack mount, leaving me with a good, plain, robed humanoid starting point.

At this point I drilled a hole where the neck was to accept the head, and also in the foot to attach the model to a bottle cap as a handle, and would later pin him to his base.
