This Witch model for Games Workshop's Mordheim became available in Spring 2004.  In my opinion, this model is one of the most characterful models GW has put out in quite some time.  He's full of fun little details like his be-warted hook nose, the dangling hand, and the skeletal rook on his shoulder, and comes complete with the ubiquitous witch's broom rendered in classic style.

This model was an absolute blast to paint.  I wanted him to have typically witch-like green-tinged skin, and I also wanted him to appear poor and disheveled in his plain brown cloak and scummy too-small tunic, but also wanted to give him a magical feel by treating his cape with an unusual blend from purple up through yellow-green.

He stands on some sort of cobbled ledge overhang that I imagine is at the end of some dark Mordheim alley, at the brink of some wyrdstone-infested body of bubbling ooze.  I think I spent more time (and had more fun!) painting the face than any other single area, and have included links to 3 enlarged pictures of the Witch's disturbing and downright creepy mug, below.
