Arestes Ptah is rarely seen on the battlefield, but his influence is quite clearly felt. He is thought to be Ordinald von Sturmgeld, High Advisor to the governor’s Court on Exultan II, who has served the Rhibauld clan through seven generations. Previous reports indicate the possibility that Slaanesh’s corruption of that planet began with his ordination as Advisor to the ruling family 200 years ago, for his knowledge appears to be millennia old, thousands of years before his appointment.

Ptah does not forget. He remembers every face he has ever seen, every conversation he has ever had or overheard, every tidbit of data that has passed his eyes. This bank of knowledge, stored in his unrivalled mind of flesh, as well as the cogitators and data-stores that he has implanted himself with, serves this evil warband greater than the largest and most powerful thinking machine of the Imperium ever could. While an Imperial data engine may take weeks to retrieve some scrap of information from its ponderous memory stores, Ptah recalls every detail instantaneously. How often has this band of murderers and chaos-worshipers slipped through the grasp of the Inquisition because of information not obtained in time, yet known immediately to Arestes Ptah?

Clothed usually in long, voluminous robes of rich, thick fabrics, meticulously embroidered, Ptah walks stooped with the age of millennia. Long, silvery-grey locks of stringy hair hang to his waist, draped around about and under his cranial implants. His skin is ashen and grey, and the Mindvault does not have much of the look of Slaanesh about him, but make no mistake; he is corrupted by the taint of Chaos, and his knowledge increases the lethality of Sum’aht’s warband all the more.
